looking forward

69 days until the big day. that's less than ten weeks.

so far we have a place picked out and booked, a wedding dress, an officiant, a bridal party, a honeymoon planned, flowers chosen, recessional music...
a lot is done, and a lot remains. wowsers.

my two friends who got engaged the same day as me are already married. i'm a little jealous.

i already know where i'm going to live (i'm sitting in my future living room). i have fuschias, sweet william, and verbena growing on my future balcony.

last night after i left my sleepy fiance's apartment to go home, i decided that i wasn't tired enough to go to bed, so i stayed on w. 8th and cut down to river road for a nice drive along the beautiful ohio. then i turned onto anderson ferry, then delhi pike, and finally back to rosemont and home. there's a stretch of rosemont avenue (incidentally, deryck's apartment is on rosemont) that winds between w. 8th and delhi pike that looks like it takes a detour through the appalachian mountains. it winds through steep wooded hills with a few little ramshackle houses built on stilts into the sides of the hills. and then suddenly you're in the middle of a residential neighborhood with kids playing in the street and you're back in cincinnati. i really like it.

now i have to drive to western hills and buy some things and take deryck his lunch.
